Sherwood Village Trees are
destroyed
Contracted
AEP crews are busy destroying trees in the village of Sherwood. AEP has in the
past come into to town to trim the trees away from their power lines, BUT this
year is different, with new guidelines in place that are supported by the
federal government, AEP (American Electric Power) has the right to trim or
remove any tree that might interfere with their transmission power lines.
Talking with one village resident, his comment
was "We have been raped again!", another went on to say " What am I to do with
1/2 a tree?" Disgust and outrage is brewing in the village. Many of the
villager's I have spoke with so far agree, it's just plain ugly. Some of the
trees were here before the power lines and are now gone.
The crews have been through some of the south
side of town and are now heading to the north as we see several other trees
marked for destruction down main street. Take a trip through our town and see if
you agree, it is just plain ugly with what they have done to our trees.
Disgusted? Send me your
comments and I will
post them online for all to read. Take a look at some of the fine workmanship
below.

Thank-you AEP for protecting our interests!
